Kevin and Lorraine Gritten are the proud new owners of Pivotal Pathway Massage Therapy and Wellness Center, which they acquired on October 1, 2025. They are thrilled to take this venture to the next level! From 2000 to 2008, We owned and operated Ultimate Escape Spa & Wellness Center in Hewitt, gaining valuable experience in the industry. We also founded Champions Salon & Barber with locations in Downtown Waco and Woodway, which we sold in 2023. Our passion for developing the next generation of beauty, barber, and wellness professionals led us to establish a school to license aspiring professionals, as we offer Cosmetology, Barber, Esthetics, Nails, Lashes and Massage Therapy at Champions Academy. We are also, a continuing education provider for the industry along with human trafficking education.

Lorraine, CEO, and Kevin, CFO, launched Champions Barber & Beauty Academy in 2018. Initially located in downtown Waco across from the Hippodrome, the academy quickly outgrew its space and was converted into Waco's first luxury barbershop. The school then relocated to Lake Air Dr. but expanded again within five years, prompting the purchase of a 10,000 sq. ft. church in Robinson to accommodate its growth. With 15 educators and 60 to 85 students at any time, the academy is thriving. Lorraine, licensed in barbering since 1985, massage therapy since 2005, esthetics since 2021, and as an educator, no longer works directly with clients but is deeply passionate about mentoring students, helping them navigate their journey to success and achieve their dreams.

Established in 2015, Pivotal Pathway Massage Therapy & Wellness Center offers a variety of therapeutic services to relieve pain, inflammation, and stress, promoting overall well-being. Our specialties include Massage Therapies, Facial Treatments, Body Sugaring Hair Removal, and Brow and Lash Enhancements. We prioritize providing an exceptional experience and excellent customer service. We cater to corporate events (chair massages), couple's massages, memberships, and special occasion packages. Additionally, we offer convenient online customizable gift certificate templates available 24/7. Pivotal Pathway has a team of five skilled massage therapists, and Jade Patulea, our front desk manager and talented skincare therapist, will regularly attend Waco Networking meetings to promote and showcase our services.
