The Waco Networking Group Bylaws
- Name and Purpose: The Waco Networking Group, Waco, Texas, est.2014. WNG is a local business networking group developed to create a thriving ecosystem where professionals connect on a personal level, engage in meaningful one-on-one interactions, and actively refer and support each other’s businesses, fostering mutual growth and success within our vibrant community.
- Membership: Members are seat specific by business category; only one professional per business category. Cannot be a member of any other networking organization that is seat specific; i.e. BNI, Master Networks, etc. Excluding chambers, rotaries, and civic groups. New member applications will be voted on by all current members in WNG.
- Meetings: WNG meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month, for one hour, with exception for holidays and bad weather. If there is a 5th Wednesday, WNG meets for a networking social hour. On the 1st Wednesday, two members will speak for 15 minutes each. On the 3rd Wednesday, WNG will host a guest speaker from the community.
- Leadership Structure: WNG has two co-leaders. The term is 12 months. These leaders are responsible for organizing the meetings, sending out correspondence and conducting timely meetings.
- Code of Conduct: Members are expected to maintain professional and respectful behavior and adhere to ethical standards.
- Referral Process: Members are encouraged to pass referrals directly to WNG members with name, telephone number and purpose of the connection. The member passing the most referrals will be recognized quarterly.
- Amendments: All members have the ability to suggest changes to the bylaws. These suggestions can be brought up at meetings or via email to the group. WNG will discuss and vote on the amendment.
